Richard Lee Parenti

Richard lived a remarkable life. He worked in the field of international espionage. He owned a restaurant on the island of Ibiza, Spain and he lived in over nine foreign countries and traveled in over thirty-five foreign countries.
He died a happy death with dignity, in comfort at home at his sister's home. At his bedside were his immediate, loving family and close friends. Prior to his death he had made peace with cancer, the dying process, with suffering and with death, all the while embracing life and teaching up to the day he died.
He opened in Modesto the first yoga center, the Yoga Health Institute and he taught that yoga was the science of Self Realization.
He departs with a smile on his face knowing he is going HOME where he often visited in meditation prior to his death and during his 40-days of silence in the Himalayan Mountains in India.
He realized and passed on to only his closest friends that God was within, not in the books we read too much of. He only spoke to his close friends about his experiences of God, as he realized most people would not understand.
He advocated to his friends: Be happy, have fun, feel good, be successful, enjoy relationships and experience life. And remember, words don't teach, but words applied in life do as life experiences are the teacher. With his last words he declared, "Do your best, leave the rest, angels do no more."
