KATHERINE CONCETTA BAUER

1917 - 2009

Katherine Concetta Bauer, passed away on November 20, 2009. She was 92 years old, filled with joy, laughter and love.
Katherine was born on February 28, 1917 in St. Louis, Mo. She then moved and grew up in Woodbridge, N.J. where she met her true love, Charles F. Bauer, a World War II Veteran and a New York City resident since February 25, 1917.
Charles and Katherine were married in Woodbridge on August 6, 1950. After making a life-time move to California, their only child, Richard Paul Bauer, was born on July 31, 1954. The Bauer family lived a fabulous life, moving to San Clemente, Calif. in 1970. Richard's only child, Danyel Bauer, was born on May 9, 1980 in San Clemente, making Charles and Kay grandparents.
Charles preceded his beloved wife Kay in death on September 17, 1985. Charles and Kay kept their sacred wedding vows and today will have been married for 59 years.
Rick and Leandi Bauer were married on October 16, 1999 and Leandi's three sons, Matt, Justin and Derek gave Katherine three more grandchildren.
Katherine is survived by her only son, Rick (Leandi); Rick's daughter, Danyel; Leandi's three sons, Matt, Justin and Derek Willard and grandsons, Matthew (Jennifer), Derek (Tiffany) and six beautiful great grandchildren.
She now has the large, and soon to be larger, family similar to her childhood. Kay's life was truly complete and her family constantly surrounded her with unconditional love.
Kay will be remembered first for her unwavering love of family; her wonderful heart; her friendship to all and most of all the true leadership and guidance she gave her family. We will love and miss her forever.
A celebration of Katherine's life will be held at 3:00 p.m. (Nevada time) on Saturday, November 28, 2009. in the Rio Vista Room at the Edgewater Casino, 2020 Casino Drive, Laughlin, NV.
