Merry Christmas Mom, It's so hard to believe that 3 months ago today, you were released from the hospital. We, Wendy, Shelley, Skip, Dale and myself took care of you as best as we knew how. In that time we all developed a closeness with you that would not have been possible otherwise. I'm convinced that your wisdom to take your yogurt every time you took your prescribed medicines and vitamins is what gave you the endurance to be here with us so much longer than the doctors informed us..We All Thank You For That Mom!! We love you Mom, and miss you more than you will ever know....But are comforted in knowing that you are once again with all of your/our loved one's, dear friends, and cherished pets-

With Love, Heartfelt Gratitude and tears, Your daughter, Deborah Jean Gag

I will always remember Shirley's beautiful smile. She was full of life! Growing up with Debbie allowed me to spend many hours with the Long family. Such joyful memories. The time she and Debbie spent together in the last few weeks of her life brought a new closeness for them both. It was such a treasure to hear the thoughts and moments they shared together. Our love to the Long Family.

Though I never knew Shirley, I've been friends with Debbie for a long time and have found her to be a very genuine caring and loving person. I can only assume her mom had a lot to do with that. I wish the family years of good memories of their parents.
Sincerely--

I don't know how to say goodbye. Shirley was so full of life! She loved her family so very much and tried to keep all of us in line no matter how old we were! I will miss our talks, her wisdom, and her humor. I promised her a trip to Death Valley when I left the hospital. I will keep that promise; it will just be with Deb. We will honor the love our mothers shared once again as they are together now with all of our family who have gone before her. Rest in Peace and know how much you are loved!
