Still think about you every day, miss our fun loving conversations late at night, talking college baseball, football, fantasy sports, and just all about the busy activities he and Kitty were doing together. Dad loved to play tennis, go on walks with Buddy and Pumpkin and run in road races. Mike and I, will be competing in our 2nd Panama Beach 70.3 Ironman and will be looking up at you and counting on your encouragement to get through this grueling competition.
Love and miss your kind soul, funny humor and competitiveness in all you did. I try and live life with passion everyday as you showed us all with your big heart, how to lift others up, love life and share happiness!
Your loving son,
Mitch

I just found out about Mr. Uehling passing away. I worked for him as a runner and receptionist in Columbia, SC during the mid-1980s for two years. I was 17 when I started. Mr. Uehling was so nice, all the time. He is the reason I became a lawyer. I vividly remember that one time a client called in, upset that he had paid off his mortgage but the lender would not issue a satisfaction of the lien. Mr. Uehling told me to look up so-and-so statute, which contained the penalties for failing to timely issue a satisfaction. He knew the statute number off the top of his head. He then wrote a letter to the lender and the satisfaction was issued in days. I thought it was so cool how he knew just what to do to help the client. That's when I decided to go to law school. My condolences to his family. He was a wonderful man.

I worked with Bob, through the years, at the AT&T Pro-Am. We were friends and fellow marshals. Invariably we find ourselves in unique and difficult situations requiring on the fly remedies. Sometimes these "solutions" are a little beyond what a volunteer should have to do or put up with. Bob was a guy that would say, "No, I'll do it", always more than holding down his spots in the rotations. I'll remember him as loyal, dedicated, and dependable; a gentle man with a tough inner resolve. I wish he was coming back.

Sad to hear this Katie and Susan. Loved reading his obituary. My dad was raised in Madison, Wis. as well and came to Fort Jackson, met and married my mom during WWII. Hugs to you both. Love, Jan Kelly
