Patrick Wilbanks Obituary

Wilbanks Sr., Patrick

Patrick Winston Wilbanks, Sr., 71, passed away on March 14, 2017 following a brief illness.

Pat was born in Montgomery, Alabama on August 8, 1945 to Ben Moon Wilbanks, Sr. and Elizabeth Cribbs Wilbanks. He was a graduate of Lanier High School and Huntingdon College. He was a member of the Montgomery Kiwanis Club and a longtime member of First United Methodist Church where he served on numerous boards.

Following a career in Mortgage Banking and Real Estate Development, Pat moved to Orange Beach, Alabama where he was a member of the Ono Men's Club, Bon Temps Cabrix Mardi Gras Krewe and Gulf Shores United Methodist Church.

During his retirement years, Pat could most often be found enjoying his family and friends, his two dogs, fried mullet, Orange Beach sunsets, and watching his two favorite sport teams, The Atlanta Braves and University of Alabama.

Pat was preceeded in death by his parents and his brother, Ben Moon Wilbanks, Jr. He is survived by his wife of forty nine years, Suzanne Mitchell Wilbanks, one son, Patrick Winston Wilbanks Jr. ( Corrie ) one daughter, Jeannie Paige Lay, one granddaughter, Hannah Ruth Lay, one sister, Sandra Wilbanks Davis, two sisters-in-law, Dawn Williamson Wilbanks and Jeannie Lou Mitchell, one brother-in-law, Stanley Charles Mitchell (Lodie) and ten nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held on March 25, 10:00, at First United Methodist Church, Cloverdale Park, Montgomery.
