John Colquett Obituary

Colquett, John D., Jr. "Jack", 86, of Montgomery, AL, died Saturday, July 20, 2013. Visitation will be held Tuesday, July 23 from 5-7 PM at Leak-Memory Chapel. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, July 24 at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, 770 S Court St at 11 AM with visitation from 10-11 AM. Burial will follow at Montgomery Memorial Cemetery. Jack was a veteran of WWII in the United States Navy. He was a faithful member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints where he served in various positions for over 65 years. He was preceded in death by his wife of over 52 years Margie Whitaker Colquett. Survivors include, his wife,Vivian Page Colquett; children, Cindy Colquett Helling (Winston, Sr.), Linda Colquett Anderson (Nathan), Joseph Colquett (Christi), Bryan Page (Lori) & Sharon Page Hayes (Russell); grandchildren, Adrienne Helling Torrealba (Dennis), Winston Helling, Jr. (Christine), Ian, Lauren, Stefan, Skylar, Nicholas & Caleb Helling, Erin & Taylor Anderson, Darby & Claire Colquett, Jared, Matthew & Seth Page, Ashlyn Page Eddy (Nick), Tiffany Hayes Stradley (Jared) & Christine Hayes; & 5 great-grandchildren. We are so sadden to hear of Uncle Jack's passing. We really enjoyed seeing him and Vivian at the lake last year. Uncle Jack has always been an elder in the family that we all looked up to as a role model. He will be missed.
