UPTAIN, ALLYN

Mr. Allyn Alexander Uptain was born September 15, 1946 and passed on February 10, 2016 after an extended illness. He was proceeded in death by his father Horace Uptain and survived by his Mother Frankie Wheeler Uptain, Millbrook, AL. He is survived by his loving wife, Connie and his four children; Kerry McCall of Murpheesboro, TN, Melany Love (Steve) of Pensacoloa, FL, Justin Uptain of Panama City, FL and Phillip Uptain (Crystal) of Chipley, FL. He had six grandchildren; Connor Gooden, Caitlyn Gooden, Samantha Love, Michael Uptain, Hunter Uptain and Alyssa Uptain. He is also survived by two brothers, Douglas Clayton Uptain (Mary Ellen) of Fort Collins, CO, Joseph Uptain (Tamela) of Equality, AL and one sister, Helen McKay (Bill) of Hilham, TN. Also, a host of nieces and nephews who loved him dearly. Allyn served his country in the United States Navy aboard the USS Forest Sherman. He was a pioneer in the computer programming field and strived to be the best and cutting edge programmer and successfully operated his own company for many years. He was an avid hunter and loved being outdoors. He also loved spending time with his family and his dog Si. Services will be held at Millbrook Baptist Church, Millbrook AL on Saturday, February 13, 2016; Visitation from 1-2 pm and Memorial Service to start at 2 pm. In lieu of flowers the family request that you make a donation to your favorite charity in his memory.
