Norma Weldon Obituary

Mrs. Norma Joy Weldon, a resident of Tallassee, Alabama, passed away Monday, September 29, 2014, at the age of 78.

Funeral services will be Wednesday, October 1, 2014, at 2:00 pm from Jeffcoat Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Derek Gentle officiating. Burial will follow in Rose Hill Cemetery, Jeffcoat Funeral Home directing. Mrs. Weldon is survived by her husband, Wendell Weldon, Jr.; daughter, Robin Raiford; son, Jeffrey Brent Weldon (Beverly); grandchildren, Caleb Weldon, Courtney Jackson, B.J. Goodman and Cody Goodman; great-grandchild, Brodie Goodman; several nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents, James and Ruth DeLoit; her brother, Doug DeLoit and son-in-law, Joe Raiford.

Mrs. Weldon was a beloved wife and mother and a friend to many. She was a longtime member of the Gleaners Sunday School Class of First Baptist Church, Tallassee.

Flowers will be accepted or memorial contributions may be made to Children's Harbor, 1 Our Children's Highway, Alexander City, Alabama 35010.

The family will receive friends Tuesday, September 30, 2014, from 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm at Jeffcoat Funeral Home.
