Dear Zalman,

Ann was a loving cousin to me, and a wonderful woman to the world. I send you condolences and will hope you will find peace and comfort in your family. Joan and I will miss her. Perhaps, we can get together in Nova Scotia. On October 18, the two of us were in Alberta for Thanksgiving and looking after our two parents, father who is 92 and mother, 88. Both are in bright health even if memory is no longer as strong as it once was.....cousin JON Redfern in Toronto.

What a terrible loss - she will never be forgotten. You are all in our thoughts and prayers.

My condolences to the family and friends of Dr. Sutherland. She was my therapist when I was just eighteen. I remember that she told me to "jump and hold my nose" when I faced my helplessness in life. This advice has helped me for the last thirty years- (plus) when faced with my fears. And indeed I have repeated it to many others. Thank you Ann, you have been a deep inspiration.

To the family of Dr. Sutherland, I wish you the strength of all the good and fine memories that I know you must all share. She was an amazing person with the temperament and soul someone so conducive to imparting sense and logic and clarity.
I adored her and wished that I had known of her illness in order to have seen her or spoken to her one last time..
