Gerda Diekmeyer

Gerda Diekmeyer, née Schade Dec 14, 1934 - Dec. 26, 2014 Gerda passed away a few months after the death of George, her beloved husband of 56 years. A physiotherapist, Gerda will be remembered by co-workers, patients and the numerous students she taught over the years. Gerda and George were active members of the Green Party of Canada, the Lakeshore Chamber Orchestra and the Lakeshore Chess Club. They leave behind children Peter, Karen and Christine and nine grandchildren. We wish to thank the staff at the Lakeshore Hospital and the kindness and service at the West Island Palliative Care Residence. In lieu of flowers, a donation to the Nature Conservancy of Canada would be appreciated.
