Just last month I was telling my daughter a story. One Christmas morning, many years ago, when I was just 19 and living at home, our doorbell rang during breakfast. It was a typical cold Montreal Christmas morning. We were all surprised to hear the doorbell ring so early. My Mom went to answer. She returned to get me, saying there was someone wanting to see me. It was Dr. Bachynski, with a Christmas gift and bonus. I can remember that day like it was yesterday. Such an honour it was to see him on our doorstep that morning. I will hold that memory and share it for the rest of my life. Please accept my sympathies.

Dr. Bachynski was remarkable for his creativity and leadership, tempered by a disarming humility. I was privileged to know him. My condolences to his wife and family.

Dr. Bachynski was one of Canada's outstanding engineers. He provided leadership and inspiration to the many who were privileged to know and work with him. My condolences are for his wife and family.

MPB Technologies was my first real work in Canada, when everything around was so new, mysterious and exciting. At the time I didn't know yet that Dr. Bachynski was also running one of the best places to work for, place which created a big family of ex-MPB employees, still in touch after all these years.
For all this - Thank you!

Dr. Bachynski has touched our family with many memories. I remember playing table tennis against him, not knowing whether I should let him win. (He was a fierce competitor.) Dr.B mailed a classy note to my father just a few weeks ago...A great light has gone out and he will be sadly missed.
