Henry Bolker Obituary

Feb. 19, 1926 - Jan. 13, 2013 Bolker, Henry I. Passed away peacefully in his eighy-sixth year. Son of the late Mary Ballon and Abe Bolker. Beloved husband of the late Estelle Samuels. Loving father of Louise (Rod Sudia). Loving grandfather of James and Lara. Survived by his sister Nancy (Mort Bercovitch, Ottawa). Lifelong friend to Jack and Sylvia Bordan. After service in the Canadian army, Henry earned a PhD at Yale University. He was a senior researcher for many years at the Pulp and Paper Institute of Canada and an adjunct Professor in the Department of Chemistry at McGill University where he was the thesis director for many Doctoral and Masters candidates. A Fellow of the Chemical Institute of Canada, he was the founder and first Chairman of the Montreal Science Fair. He pursued many interests and served the community os an Officer of the Lakeshore Chamber Music Society, Lakeshore Dog Training Association and the Stewart Hall Cultural and Community Centre.
