Henri FAVRE Obituary
Henri Favre, retired Professor and Dean of the University of Montreal, known as Papi to many, born in Payerne, Switzerland, died peacefully after a brief illness in Montreal on July 20, 2013. Husband of the late Isabelle Favre (nee Vionnet), son of the late Liliane Jaquiéry and the late Marcel Favre. Brother of Mädy Musso and the late Jean-David Favre. He leaves in mourning his children Alexandre (Louise), Valérie (Gordon) and Eric (Miriam), his eight grandchildren Geneviève Favre- Savoie, Adrien, Coralie, Joachim, Justine and Sacha Mitchell, Alexandre and Jonathan Favre. He also leaves in mourning Claude (Geneviève's mother) and Esperanza, as well as many friends and colleagues in Switzerland, Montreal and elsewhere. The family will greet family and friends on Wednesday, July 24 between 10 a.m. and 11a.m.

A service will follow in the chapel of the funeral complex at 11 a.m. The family wants to thank all the health care providers at the hospital where Henri was treated. In lieu of flowers, a donation to the St. Mary's Hospital Foundation would be greatly appreciated.

Je suis très attristée par cette nouvelle. J'ai très bien connu M. Favre à mon travail, à la Direction de la terminologie du Bureau de la traduction. Il a été notre chimiste-conseil pendant de nombreuses années. Nous avons beaucoup apprécié ses qualités professionnelles et humaines. Il était de compagnie très agréable. Mon ami Philippe et moi-même vous prions de recevoir l'expression de nos profondes condoléances.
