Scott's talent was inspirational and his kind support invaluable, his generosity means that his spirit will live on, not only in his own work but in the work of those he encouraged. I have great admiration for his courage, his good humour remaining even in the past few months. He'll be greatly missed. My condolences and best wishes to Scott's family and friends.

I came to know Scott as my MFA thesis student at Concordia University, and grew to admire him as a great friend over the years. Scott was a very kind and generous person, sharing his knowledge, good humour and compassion with all who surrounded him. From him, I learned what it means to be truly selfless. I will dearly miss him but know he will live on through his work and through those who admire him.

Scott was a fantastic brother to me. He was never the typical annoying younger sibling, he was always mature beyond his years and kept me laughing with his sharp wit. I'll continue to miss Scott every day but I know he will live on through his art and my incredible memories of him.
