Bob Raffaele Baylis

Bob (Roberto) Raffaele Baylis August 19, 1935 -September 30, 2015 Bob Baylis of Lancaster, Ontario, peacefully at home. Bob was born in 1935 son of John Baylis and Iolanda Italiano and brother to Ralph Baylis. Bob grew up in the Montreal district of Mile End and married Kathleen Kukura in 1956. Together they raised four children in Laval, Quebec. Bob worked for the National Film Board until 1969 when he embarked on a career as an independent film producer. As a producer, Bob won numerous accolades and awards, along with international recognition for his work. Bob held his duties and responsibilities as a husband and father as his first priority and he took great pride in his children and grandchildren. He is survived by his beloved wife Kathleen, his children: Leslie (Ruth), Julie, Robert (Genevieve) and Kelly (Sylvia), and 11 grandchildren: Melanie, Julian, Christopher, Grace, Joyce, Jade, Clara, Samuel, Noah, Luna and Shannon. Visitation 2-4 and 7-9 Sunday October 4th and 9-10:30 Monday October 5th at Glengarry Funeral Home, 580 Main St. S., Alexandria.
