Michael Gabel Obituary
He was born January 28, 1956 in Lakewood, raised in Rocky River and had lived in Avon Lake for the past 12 years. Michael was a graduate of Rocky River High School. He made a career in the automotive industry as a car salesman and had worked for Pat O'Brien Chevrolet Vermilion and Westlake, Abraham Nissan Sheffield, Barry Cadillac Elyria and Barry Buick Lakewood. Michael was a sports enthusiast who enjoyed football, basketball and played soccer in high school.
He is survived by his wife Jeane L. Harrington, son Colin M. Gabel of Avon Lake, daughter Lauren Elizabeth Gabel of Lakewood and step-son Andrew Charles Harrington of Indianapolis, IN; parents Dudley and Mary (nee Ciszewski) of Peoria, AZ; a brother Steven Gabel of Sepulveda, CA. and a sister Andria Pishke (Keith) of Phoenix, AZ.
Memorial mass 10am, Monday, August 22, at St. Marks Catholic Church, 15800 Montrose Ave., Cleveland, in Michael's name.
Memorial contributions in lieu of flowers may be made in Michael's name at any First Merritt Bank.
Arrangements and cremation are by Busch Funeral Home, Avon.

Mike always took the time to help us young guys on the soccer team and ask how we did in our games. He was never too busy for a conversation, no matter who you were. God bless the family.

Mike was a gentleman and true professional to all of his many clients over the years. He knew the meaning of "service" and always went above and beyond to deliver the best! On top of that he was just a truly nice person! He will be missed.

I have worked with Mike for the past 5 years at his part-time job. He was a very friendly person and spoke highly of his family. I will miss him dearly. May he find peace with our Father.
