Living next door to Jim, he and I had different opinions on just about everything, up to and including the length of the grass. I miss him glaring at me, as I did everything wrong. I do miss him though as I had a soft spot for him, as we were so alike.

I was unaware of Jims illness and I was saddened to hear of it. I observed him planting flowers getting ready for next year's foliage, which never disappointed with their beauty. How could a man plant flowers, knowing he was not going to see them? That old saying comes to mind on this and it gos something like this. " A man truly understands life, when he plants a shade tree, knowing full well he will never benefit from its shade." Each of us add something to this world, and now Jims family grieves his loss, as I do also. I believe Jim wants for nothing today and is surrounded by the love of God, and what better ending is there than that. My condolences go out to the family.

My favorite Baby Sitter told me he was dying and I suggested he have a SuperBowl party because I wanted to come and see him. He didn't care about football, but he's having a party now!
