Dorothy Duncan Obituary

Dorothy Wasson Duncan, born in Big Spring, Texas, to Sue King Wasson and Elmo Wasson in Big Spring, went home to her Heavenly Father March 25, 2015. She is survived by the love of her life, her husband of 66 years, James Duncan; her children, Debbie Duncan Petree of Lubbock, Texas, Dave and wife, Paula Duncan of Dallas, Texas, and Sunny Duncan of Midland, Texas; three grandchildren, James and his wife, Angela Petree, Paige and husband, Tom Kuchler, and Alyson and husband, Powie French; and four great grandchildren, Kennedy and Duncan Kuchler, and Hattan and Lyles French. There will be a private burial for family only, followed by a service at Nalley-Pickle & Welch Funeral Home Chapel in Midland at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, March 31, 2015. For Dorothy it was all about faith, family and friends. A beautiful Christian Lady outside as well as inside; she was gracious, gentle and grateful for all those she knew and loved. A gift of making everyone feel special, her sweet spirit will be missed as well as her sense of humor. She had many interests and continued to seek knowledge on a number of subjects. She played a great hand of bridge and was a Life Master. Heaven is a little brighter because of her presence. We will miss you Dottie, Mom, and Mimi. The family suggests memorials can be donated to a charity of your choice. Arrangements are under the direction of Nalley-Pickle & Welch Funeral Home & Crematory of Midland. Online condolences can be made at www.npwelch.com.

To all of Dot's family. Some I knew, some I did not. She was a good friend for years, all through High School I remember so well when Dot and James married.
My condolences and thoughts are with all of you. She was such a good person. I know she will be missed.
