Lily Lacy Obituary

Lily Pearl Lacy, 93, of Midland, died peacefully at 6:58 AM on Saturday, April 21, 2012. She is survived by her children, Charles Lacy of Overland Park, Kansas; Becky Graves of Midland, Texas; and Blake Lacy of Amarillo, Texas. She is also survived by eight grandchildren, and 10 great grandchildren. Lily was born on September 10, 1918, in St. Louis, Missouri. She moved to Texas after marrying her husband, a World War II solider who was stationed in St. Louis but was originally from San Angelo. They moved to Midland after her husband served in the Army, to raise their family. Both Lily and her husband were very active in the Midland Jaycee's and were avid bowlers. After her husband's death, Lily continued to bowl and was very well known in the bowling community. She loved her family, her friends, bowling, and her daytime soap operas. She was also a very talented painter and every member of her family was immortalized in a portrait painted with love by her hands. The family will receive visitors at Lily's home, 4404 Monty, on Wednesday, April 25, from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM. Memorial donations can be made in her name to a charity of your choice.
