Neal P.C. Obituary

Neal Robin Allen, P.C., beloved husband and father, passed away after a lengthy illness on Monday, July, 21, 2014, at Midland Memorial Hospital in Midland. Mr. Allen received his undergraduate degree from Yale University and his Law degree from Harvard Law. He served in the military in the Judge Advocate's office and he served one year as Texas Assistant Attorney General State of Texas. He was Board Certified for both Business and Personal Bankruptcy. Neal moved from Amarillo, where he had been with the law firm of Culton, Morgan, Britain and White, to Midland, where he joined the firm of Stubbeman, McRae, Sealy, Laughlin and Browder. After several years with them, he opened his own office, dealing with business and consumer bankruptcy, estate planning and probate law. Neal was President of the Permian Basin Bankruptcy Bar Association 1987-88 and was a Fellow of the Texas Bar Foundation. Neal was born in Amarillo, Texas, December 17, 1932, the only child of James Robin Allen and Sybil Finklea Allen. He is survived by his loving wife, Marilyn of Midland; two sons, Waide Robin Allen of Los Angeles, California, and Bradford Morgan Allen of Brooklyn, New York. He is also survived by Marilyn's daughters, Pamela Pool Stevens and Marci Pool Hand of Amarillo and Victoria Pool Freeman of Corrales, New Mexico, along with their families. A special family member was his big dog named Ranger. We can visualize Neal and Ranger together again. Neal's special interests were Holy Trinity Episcopal Church, Kiwanis International, civic activities and tennis. Memorial services are scheduled for Monday, July 28, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. The Reverend Barbara Kirk-Norris will be officiating at Episcopal Church of the Holy Trinity, 1412 W. Illinois Ave, Midland, Texas. A special thank you goes to Dr. Gregory Bartha and the nurses and attendants of Manor Park and Midland Memorial Hospital. In lieu of flowers, Marilyn requests donations be made to the Episcopal Church of the Holy Trinity or a charity of your choice. Arrangements are under the direction of Nalley-Pickle & Welch Funeral Home & Crematory of Midland. Online condolences can be made at www.npwelch.com.
