FUNERAL HOME

Prentice Bryant Obituary

Reverend Prentice William Bryant was called home to be with the Lord on May 6, 2015 after surviving the past three years with a terminal illness. He was born June 7, 1964 in Abilene, Texas. He accepted Christ as his Savior at Dellwood Baptist Church around the age of 10. He attended school in Midland and graduated from Lee High School. He further attended and graduated from East Texas State University in Commerce. He married Sandra Bryant on September 6, 2001. Prentice retired in 2010 from Midland Memorial Hospital after 23 years. He enjoyed hunting, helping others, and spending time with his friends and family. Prentice had a close and personal relationship with Christ and was looking forward to seeing his mother, father, and brother who have preceded him in death. He had a particular interest in reading and studying biblical end times in the book of Revelation. Prentice's love and devotion were to his wife and daughter, of whom he made many sacrifices for in order to prepare them spiritually and physically for the moment of his passing. He moved his family to the Dallas area in 2012 to be closer to friends and family for long term preparation, a testament to his bravery and character. Prentice was a devoted husband, father, brother, and compassionate friend who will be missed by all. Prentice is survived by his immediate family; wife, Sandra Bryant; his daughter, Kelsey Pine-Bryant; and his beloved dog, "puppity pup pup,"Bella; sister, Paula and Marlon Schaus of Albuquerque; brother, Perry and Jenny Bryant of Kansas City, Missouri; brother, Reverend Pat and Amy Bryant of Midland; and sister, Phyllis and Reverend John Mark Mason, also of Midland; along with his nieces and nephews, Becky, John Allen, Jennifer, Kristen, Sarah, Caleb, Joshua, and Ezra. He is preceded in death by his parents, Calvin and Helen Bryant; and a younger brother, Parrish Wayne Bryant and grandparents. Any memorials can be made to St Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105. The family will receive guests from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Thursday, May 14, 2015 at Nalley-Pickle & Welch Funeral Home in Midland. Memorial services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Friday, May 15, 2015 at Fannin Terrace Baptist Church in Midland, with Pastor David Warren, officiating. I met Prentice while attending Alamo Junior High, he was such a sweet person. I remember his very blonde hair, and his shyness around all the girls. I never did cross paths with him again. I was so happy to see that he is my bother in Christ and that I will get to visit with him again someday. Love and prayers to the family. With deepest sympathy,

He did indeed love the Lord, we ha many discussion about this life and the one after. This man made a lasting and special imprint on my heart and I will never forget the things we shared especially the conversation about my "precious" and his "pumpkin". I will see you again.
