Janice Witte Knudsen

Witte Knudsen, Janice Florida Janice Knudsen Witte, 72 passed into the Lord's loving arms February 2, 2015 in Lake City, FL after a battle with cancer, her sisters were in attendance. Jan was born in Shelby, MI, December 22, 1942. She grew up in Shelby and graduated from Shelby High School in 1960. She married Randall Witte in 1966. He passed away in 2011. Jan was employed as a draftsperson at several companies before starting and operating J&R Wholesale Plant Nursery in Dover, FL, with her husband Randy. They retired from that business and traveled extensively throughout the US. She was a gifted horsewoman, having achieved Level 4 Proficiency in Parelli training, and spent much of her retirement time with her two special horses, Flicka and Gypsy. Jan is survived by special friend David (Pinto) Poole two sisters: Delores (Ralph) VanRiper, Peggy (Clifford) Writtenberry, a niece Monica Felan (Dan Swett), several cousins and many friends She was preceded in death by her parents, Ernest and Mary Knudsen, her nephew Christopher Writtenbury and husband Randy. Per her wishes, cremation was conducted by Gateway Forest Lawn Funeral Home in Lake City, FL. A funeral will be held on June 6, 2015, 11:00 a.m. at Faith Fellowship Church, 8889 West 6 Mile Rd, Irons MI. with interment at Lakeview cemetery in Irons. Memorials may be made in Jan's name to Hospice or your favorite charity.
