Henry and Gertrude retired to Little Egg Harbor in 1987, moving from Fanwood, New Jersey.

Surviving is son Dean, daughter-in-law Linda, grandson Jason, and great grandson Logan of Boise, ID; grandson David, great grandson Ethan, and great granddaughter Autumn of Donnelly, ID; daughter Lynn of Hampstead, North Carolina; and granddaughter Heidi Kutcher of Bethesda, Maryland.

I was thinking of Aunt Gert and Uncle Hank (Henny) as my Dad Bill called him and their visits to my parents home in Beach Haven for survivors day celebrations. Was looking for Lynne his daughter as well. Hope all is well with the family. May Uncle Hank and Aunt Gert Rest in Peace. All from that generation I recall are together again in Heaven. Sending Prayers

Dean and Linda and family, our hearts go out to you. We remember you both talking warmly about your father, and his special grace and optimism. We heard from a fellow cruisemate that your father has passed, and our prayers and thoughts are with you. Warmly, Patrick and Lee Warner, Tallahassee.

Hank was an amazing man. He had a great smile and sense of humor. He loved to talk about his beloved Gert and their times working her family farm and their many visits to the beach. Family was very important to Hank. He was always reminding me that family is more important than work. I will miss sitting with my friend talking and eating Werther's caramel candies, drinking strawberry shakes and enjoying a homegrown tomato in the summer. Even at 100 he loved watch sports and reading the newspaper everyday.Boy did he enjoy eating seafood. Hank loved to talk about fishing and volunteering for his church in New Jersey. I am so blessed to have gotten to know Hank. He has an amazing spirit and will be missed. Hank was a fantastic man who made this world a better place. My condolences to his family.

Hank always had a smile, and a kind word to say.
I can't even express how much I will miss him.
My condolences to his fsmily, he was very proud of them, and talked highly of his son.
