Edward Plock Obituary
AGE: 80 ? North Plainfield
Edward George Plock Sr., 80, passed away Friday February 25, 2011 at the Veterans Hospital in Orange, NJ. Born in Plainfield, he grew up in Warren, raised his family in Middlesex and moved to North Plainfield 20 years ago. Mr. Plock proudly served an enlistment in the United States Navy during both WWII and the Korean Conflict. He was a sheet metal worker with Local Union 22 out of Cranford. Mr. Plock was a charter member of the Middlesex Elks, former Elk of the year and Past Exalted Ruler, Past Commander of the Middlesex American Legion and former member of the VFW.
He was predeceased by his loving wife of 27 years, Mrs. Dorothy Petro Plock who passed away in 1984, by his step-daughter Phyllis, four brothers and four sisters. Surviving are his son Edward George Plock Jr. of North Plainfield; his daughter Brenda Richter-Williams and her husband Tommy of Spartanburg, SC; his step-son Kenneth Derr and his wife Georgette of Newton; his sisters Catherine Chardon and Mary Huff, both of CA; his long time companion AnnMarie Riccardi; his grandchildren, Mary Jo Cusumano, Joseph Cusumano, Karen Derr, Sharon Rigotty, Brian Richter, Steven Richter, Louis Plock, Melissa Plock and Lillie Williams and his great grandchildren Rachel and Sarah.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday 10 am at the Middlesex Funeral Home, 528 Bound Brook Rd., Middlesex, NJ 08846 followed with interment in the Holy Redeemer Cemetery in South Plainfield. Visitation hours are Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Edward's name to the Somerset County Department of Aging, 27 Warren St., Somerville, NJ 08876.
