AGE: 74 • Belford
Flora George, 74, a lifelong resident of Belford passed away Sunday, May 27th, at Care One at King James. Flora was born in the same home she has lived in her entire life in Belford, daughter of the late Richard and Esther Stryker. She was an accomplished seamstress for many years before marrying in 1962 and becoming a homemaker. Flora was a member of the Garden State Piston Pushers Car Club. She enjoyed camping with her husband, reading and playing board games.
Flora was recently predeceased by her husband of nearly 50 years, Thomas M. George. She is survived by her daughter, Lori and husband John Cahill of Tinton Falls and their children John and Hope, her two sons Thomas George II of Fla., Michael and his wife Lisa of Indiana and their daughter Sara and stepson Adam Bigger and his wife Laura. Flora was predeceased by her sister Ester and brother-in-law George Herbert.
Friends and relatives may pay their respects Saturday, June 2nd from 10-12 noon at Scott & Kedz Home for Funerals, 153 Church St., Belford. The burial and committal services will immediately follow at Bayview Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the American Heart Assn. at www.heart.org Condolences may be sent by visiting www.scottkedzfuneralhome.com
