Alfred Geigel Obituary
Dunellen - Alfred A. Geigel, 83 of Dunellen, passed away peacefully on Sunday, December 24, 2017 at RWJUH in Somerville with his loving family by his side. Born in New York City, he was the son of the late Alfred J and Angeles (Ponte) Geigel.
Alfred received his Bachelor's Degree from Manhattan College and his Master's Degree from NYU. He worked for 40 years as an electrical engineer for Bell Labs in Murray Hill before retiring in 1996. He was a member of the Ship Models Society of New Jersey. Alfred was a member of St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church in Dunellen where he was a Eucharistic Minister and a Lector. Alfred's greatest joy came from the love he had for his family, and he will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
Besides his parents, Alfred was predeceased by his brother Edgar. He is survived by his beloved wife Grace. He is also survived by his loving children: sons Thomas and wife Ellen of Collingswood, Joseph and wife Marie of Pittsford, NY; his daughters, Mary Theresa Simpson and husband Wayne of Brick, Elaine Mustacchio and husband James of Whitehouse Station, Anne Britschge and husband Ken of Hamilton. Also surviving him are his 5 cherished grandchildren, as well as by his sisters; Grace Martin of Neshanic Station, and Maria Weyer of OR.
Friends may visit the family on Wednesday December 27 from 7:00-9:00pm at the Sheenan Funeral Home, 233 Dunellen Ave in Dunellen. A mass will be celebrated on Thursday December 28 at 10:00am at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church in Dunellen. Entombment will follow at Resurrection Mausoleum in Piscataway. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Alfred's name to St. John the Evangelist Church, 317 First St, Dunellen, NJ 08812

The Manhattan College alumni community shares the grief, and is now praying for our fellow alumni and the family at this time. The Alumni Office has been informed. As well as the Jasper Jottings community that I personally can reach. We are all a little poorer now. "No man is an island, entire of itself ... any mans death diminishes me". We are sorry for your loss.
