Goldie Norment Obituary
AGE: 82 • Plainfield
Goldie Norment, age 82,died on Wednesday, September 13, 2017 at JFK Medical Center in Edison. She was born in Bramwell, WV and lived in Cincinnati, OH and South Jersey before moving to Plainfield over 60 years ago.
Mrs. Norment was a Nursery School Teacher at the King's Daughters and the Neighborhood House both in Plainfield.
She was a member of the Mt. Olive Baptist Church.
Mrs. Norment loved to shop, travel, see Broadway shows and movies and visit with friends. She loved taking care of her grandchildren.
She is predeceased by her husband, James Norment; her daughter, Vernasia Ross; her brothers, Charles Pate and Andrew Leroy Pate; her sister Viola Mason.
Surviving are her son, James Vincent Norment, Dwight Norment and step son Timothy Stewart; her daughter, Donna Norment; her sisters, Trudy Saunders of Lovett, TX and Ida Mae Jones of Raleigh, NC. She is also survived by her 11grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren many nephews and nieces extended family.
A visitation will be held on Monday, September 25th from 7-9 pm at the Mount Olive Baptist Church216 Liberty Street, Plainfield, NJ 07060. A funeral service will be held Tuesday, at 10 at the church followed by entombment at Hollywood Memorial Park, Union. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in her loving memory to the Young Men of Resilience, PO BOX 443, Plainfield NJ 07060.

Sorry I'm unable to attend, my condolences. My Prayers are with the Family, just remember that "There's No Sorrow on Earth, that Heaven cannot Heal." Trust, Lean and Depend on the Lord for Strength. Praying that God will comfort you, Rest in the Lord. Love You, Goldie will be missed.
