Jacqueline Jackson Obituary

Jacqueline E. Jackson

AGE: 74 • Doylestown, PA

Jacqueline E. Jackson passed away on Saturday March 26, 2016 at Doylestown Hospital in Doylestown, Pennsylvania. She was 74 years old. Services will be held later this week at First Baptist Church, Bute Street in Norfolk, Virginia.

Jacqueline (Jackie) was born Norfolk, Virginia in 1941. She spent her teenage years in Richmond, Virginia. Mrs. Jackson attended Virginia Union University and graduated from Norfolk State University with a BS degree in Elementary Education.

Mrs. Jackson taught in the Plainfield NJ School System for thirty plus years, including Evergreen, Hubbard and Jefferson schools. She loved her profession and the generations of students that she educated.

Those closest to Jackie knew that her greatest passion was gardening. She was called the "plant whisperer" by family members. Jackie was a proud member of Alpha Kappa Alpha, Sorority, Inc. She also enjoyed coaching a cheerleading team and was a great Cub Scout Den Mother.

Predeceased by her husband, Dr. Ryno M. Jackson, surviving family members include her sons, Michael Jackson (Ludmila) and David Jackson (Alicia); daughter Tracy Jackson-Benson (Edward); grandchildren, Miles and Evan Benson, and many loving relatives and friends.

Family, Speak of Jackie, not with tears, for thoughts of her should not be sad.Let memories of the time you shared give you comfort, for her life was rich because of you. Jackie and I bonded for we were both educators and we were also Sorors but our strongest bonds were due to the love we both had for "digging in the soil". As gardeners, we planted, pruned and gathered from "sun up to sun down" and never got tired of sharing and experiencing each other's joy in the blooming of a flower and the flowing of a tree. She has now joined my other angels and I give thanks for our shared Plainfield experiences.
