Mary Anderson Obituary
AGE: 104 • Plainfield
Mary Jordan Anderson passed into eternal rest on January 26, 2015, after a brief illness at her home. She was born in Ridgeway, NC on February 26, 1910. Mary was the daughter of William Jordan and Elsa Twitty Jordan. She was raised in Ridgeway with her two brothers, William and Eugene, and her sister, Mattie, before moving north in 1929. Her mother affectionately called her "a little chocolate drop on the road somewhere."
A resident of Plainfield, NJ since 1930, Mary was predeceased in 1964 by her husband of 32 years, Ashby T. Anderson. They had no children. She is survived by a niece, Mary J. Goode of Ridgeway, and her family friend and caregiver, Richard Loosli, whom she knew since his childhood. Graciousness and gratitude made her friends everywhere.
Burial at Franklin Memorial Park is by arrangement with Judkins Colonial Home of Plainfield.
