Rebecca Alexander Obituary
transitioned this life July 30, 2017 in Dover, DE. She was born in Whiteville, NC, relocated to Danville, VA in 1955, moved to Plainfield, NJ in 1964 and finally resided in Dover, DE in 2012. She was a member of Shiloh Baptist Church for over 50 years, where she served on the Kitchen Ministry and Cell Groups. Mrs. Alexander was a cook at the Stone Square Lodge #37 P.H.A in Plainfield and a member of Mohawk Temple#191 I.B.P.O.E. in Plainfield. Predeceased by her husband, Edward Alexander and 3 siblings. Surviving are her daughter Pearlie Franklin (Kenny), 1 granddaughter, 2 gr. granddaughters, 1 gr. gr. Grandson and a host of loving relatives and friends. Funeral services will be held Wednesday 10 am at the Shiloh Baptist Church in Plainfield. Visitation will be held Wednesday 9-10 am at the church and service at 10. Miz Becky was a caring and sharing woman. She prepared many a meal for my family as she worked at Stone Square Lodge and the restaurant next door to Rocco's. I will always cherish having been able to share her birthday celebration one year when I visited Pearl and Kenny in Dover, Delaware.
