Transitioned this life May 25 in Plainfield. A life long resident of Plainfield he was a graduate of Plainfield High School, and attended Middlesex County Vocation Technical School. he was employed in at Stop N Shop in Watchung and also at Memorial Funeral home in Fanwood. Willie was well known in Plainfield and loved for his gregarious nature, his love of football (a devoted Jets fan), basketball ( a Lakers fan) and most of all his smile. Predeceased by his father Willie Lee Major Sr., grandfather Bennie Major and grand mother Charlotte Dennis surviving are mother Joan Major, brother Darrell D. Major, nephew Deonte Dennis, uncle William Gary and Aunt Karen Gary and a host of loving relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be held Friday 11Am at the Ruth Fellowship Ministries 733 South 2nd St., Plainfield. Visitation will be held Friday 10-11Am at the church. Arrangements by Judkins. www.judkinscolonialhome.com

I was Willie's teacher when he attended Hubbard Middle School. I have very fond memories of him. Whenever I traveled West 4th or Plainfield Avenues I would see him and wave. I will miss seeing his face and smile. He was a kind and loving man. I will keep his family in my prayers.
