Grace Arnold Obituary
AGE: 99 • Plainfield
Grace S. Arnold of Cedar Brook Apartments, Plainfield, NJ, formerly of Cedar Grove NJ, and Stoney Brook Long Island, NY, passed away on May 1, 2015.
Grace was born in Plainfield, NJ, raised in Fanwood, NJ, and moved to Cedar Grove, NJ when she married her husband Donald W. Arnold. They had a summer home in Stoney Brook, Long Island.
Grace worked at Woolworths in Plainfield, NJ, helped with her husband's sales business, and worked in the school cafeteria in Cedar Grove. After her retirement she dedicated much of her time to crafting, crocheting, embroidering many items, donating them to her Church, Montclair Heights Reformed Church, Montclair NJ, and also Deborah Heart and Lung in Browns Mills, NJ for their craft fairs and fund raisers. She also was a volunteer for many years at Muhlenberg Adult Day Care Center in Plainfield, NJ. In her spare time she enjoyed gardening, playing yhatzee, crossword puzzles, jigsaw puzzles, and watching Wheel of Fortune. Grace will always be remembered for her kind, caring, generous nature. A strong woman with a gentleness, and a heart of gold.
Grace was pre-deceased by her husband, Donald W. Arnold; her parents, Walter and Agnes Stewart; her sister, Helen Gendall and her husband John; her brother, Walter S. Stewart Jr; her sister Dorothy L. Meyer and her husband Arthur A. Meyer Sr.; and her much loved cat Chum.
Grace is survived by her nephew, Arthur A. Meyer Jr.; nieces, Ruth A. Bender, Elaine C. Barney, Debbie L. Boyton, and Mary Lou Choynake; great nephews, Charles Bender, Eric Bender and wife Sheri, Stevie Boyton, Keith Barattucci, Kevin Boyton, Thomas Barney, Randy Boyton; great nieces, Sherry Boyton, Valerie Barattucci, and fiancé Nick Bagan, and Kimberly Boyton; great great nephews, Gavin and Logan Bender; and great great niece Jordyn Fisher.
Services will be held at Memorial Funeral Home, 155 South Ave., Fanwood, on Wednesday at 1 P.M. with visitation from 11 A.M. until the time of service. Interment will follow at Hillside Cemetery in Scotch Plains. For additional information or to express condolences, please visit www.fanwood memorial.com.

Deepest condolences to the family for this great loss. In part of the passage o
in Psalm 90 verse 10 it states "The span of our life is 70 years, Or 80 if one is especially strong." Your love one lived beyond that average life span. It was a blessing to your family. May the loving memories you share bring you a measure of comfort.
