Albert Knight Obituary
AGE: 80 • Plainfield
Albert L. Knight, 80, departed this life Fri. Oct. 24, 2014 in JFK Medical Center, Edison. Born in Plainfield, he was a lifelong resident. Albert was a member of Community Baptist Church in North Plainfield where he was a trustee, on the kitchen committee, children's church and former member of the usher board. He also served in the U.S. Army. Albert was employed by the City of Plainfield Dept. of Public Works for over 15 years.
He was predeceased by 2 daughters Beverly Wilson and Stacy Knight; a son Donald Knight (Rajahn Ali) 3 brothers David, Richard and Harold Knight; 3 sisters Martha "Vicki" Cassett, Ruth Washington and Francis Johnson. Surviving is his wife Gladys Knight; 10 sons Albert Jr., Timmy (Sharon), Anthony, Harold and Gerald Knight, David (Karen) and Raymond (Hazel) Johnson, Robert Patillo, Jeffery Anderson and Khadir Muhammad (Felicia); 3 daughters Annette Sargent (Mack), Lisa Burgess (Richard) and Dana Webb; 27 grandchildren; 45 great grandchildren; 1 great great grandchild; mother in law Polly Johnson; 4 sisters in law Martha Knight, Mary Scott, Sarah Taylor and Pauline Findley and a host of nieces, nephews other relatives and friends.
Viewing Thurs. 6-8pm in Brown's Funeral Home, 122 Plainfield Ave., Plainfield and Fri. 9-11am in Community Baptist Church, 20 Grove St., North Plainfield with the funeral to follow at 11am. Private cremation. www.brownsfuneralhome.net.

Brother Knight was a wonderful man...he was one of our absolute favorites! May you take comfort in knowing an angel is watching over you.
