AGE: 84 •
Bernedetta Carrano, also known as "Bessie", passed away peacefully Monday, October 9, 2017. She was born January 7, 1933 in New York, New York.
She is survived by her "baby-sister" Fanny Levine and leaves to mourn her beloved children: Carmine, Steven, Salvatore and Guido; 12 cherished grandchildren and 3 wonderful great-grandchildren.
Bernedetta and her late husband, Carmine Julius Carrano, lived in Plainfield, N.J., where they raised their 4 sons. She was a homemaker, loved cooking, listened to Elvis or Frank Sinatra while meticulously cleaning, danced to Andrea Bocelli, enjoyed playing bingo and scratching off lottery tickets, but most of all she fiercely devoted her life to her family.
While we mourn her passing, we will celebrate and remember Bernedetta's life, devotion, spirit and strength
on Friday, October 20, 2017 at Higgins Home for Funerals 752 Mountain Blvd. Watchung, NJ 07069 from 6pm-9pm. The Funeral Mass will be held Saturday October 21,2017 at St. Bernard's RC Church in Plainfield at 10am and immediately following we will sadly lay her to rest at Hillside Cemetery in Plainfield, NJ.
