Paula Peterson Obituary
AGE: 68 • Green Brook
Paula Yood Peterson, age 68, passed away suddenly on Monday, March 28, 2016, at her home in Green Brook. She was born in Plainfield and had lived in Green Brook for many years.
Prior to her retirement in 2002, Mrs. Peterson was a Human Resources Manager for Conoco Phillips at the Bayway Refinery in Linden.
Paula was a kind and loving person, devoted to her family. She also loved all animals, especially the feral cats for which she cared.
She was predeceased by her mother, Helen Hull Yood.
Surviving are her husband, Ronald Peterson; her son, Kyle Peterson; her father, Dr. Harold Yood; her brother, Dr. Andrew Yood and his wife, Ruth; her sisters, Pamela Yood and Patricia Herskovitz, and Patricia's husband, Robert. She is also survived by her grandson, Jake Peterson.
A private funeral service will be held on Friday, April 1, 2016, under the direction of Higgins Home for Funerals, Watchung. Donations in her memory can be made to Plainfield Humane Society or charity of your choice.

We all were very well aware how evil can manifest itself in many forms, be these people, places, things, ideas and how some of it can just jump out of left field. Dear Ronald, I just read of Paula's passing with sadness a few moments ago. I too care for a colony of feral cats in my backyard in
Toms River as well as the 10 I have rescued into my home over the last few years. I Know your wife is a saint for the efforts she gave towards our feline friends. You may remember me from 1998 when I helped you with a mortgage while at Ocean Fed. I found the sad news of your loss while updating my old data base. My deepest condolences. Wayne Carter
