Ginger Hendricks Obituary

Ginger (Virginia E) Hendricks

AGE: 66 • Hillsborough

Virginia E (Ginger) Hendricks, 66, of Hillsborough, NJ, died on August 30, 2013. She was born to the late Cleone Hadley Hendricks and Gerald Behn Hendricks, in Schenectady, NY, moving later to Springfield, PA, and as a teenager to Bridgewater, NJ. She graduated from Bridgewater-Raritan HS and earned a B.S. degree in allied health sciences from Kent State Univ. in Kent, OH. Upon her return to NJ, she was employed for 26 years by the Resource Center for Women and Their Families (Somerset County), most notably as a Legal Advocate-a job she loved and [that she] passionately identified with until the end. She was honored upon retirement for her work done on behalf of victims of domestic violence, working in the Somerset County court system.

[Until the end] She loved her dog Bogie and her Bichon Frise dogs Sami and Bailey and sadly missed them.

Ginger is survived by her sister, Vicki A. Hendricks, of Parsippany, NJ; a brother, William B. (Bill) Hendricks, sister-in-law Pam, and nephews Ben and Andy Hendricks of Kent, OH; and an uncle (and aunt), Jerry Hadley(and Barbara), of Webster City, IA. She was predeceased by both her parents and brother Thomas A. Hendricks.

Private funeral arrangements are under the direction of the Hillsborough Funeral Home.
