Joan Haas

AGE: 79 • Bridgewater

Joan Haas died on Sept. 20, 2013 at Green Knoll Care Center in Bridgewater. She was 79. Born in Liberty, NY, she lived in Martinsville, NJ for 37 years before moving to Lakewood in 2006. Joan was the president and owner of Flemington Beauty Supply for 20 years before retiring in 2000. She served on the Bridgewater Board of Education and was active in the Republican Club in Bridgewater. She enjoyed sailing with her husband, and was an avid bowler and skier. Her family will remember her as a loving wife, mother and grandmother who especially loved spending time in upstate NY at the family property, Heartsdelight.

Her husband Jack died in 2006.

She is survived by her three sons and two daughter-in-laws; Brian Haas and his wife, Claire, of Peapack, Drew Haas of Jersey City, and Scott Haas and his wife, Jessica, of Olivebridge, NY; one brother Richard Pitbladdo, and wife Gladys, of Hammondsport, NY and Naples, FL and her 2 grandchildren Charlotte and Kathryn Haas.

A memorial service will be held at 11am on Saturday November 9, at St. Luke's Episcopal Church in Gladstone. Interment will be in the private family cemetery in Hope, NY. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Alzheimer's Association, in her memory, would be appreciated. www.baileyfuneralhomes.com
