Joseph Cerillo Obituary
AGE: 83 • Warren
Joseph Marco Cerillo, 83, died on Thursday, September 12, 2013 at his home in Warren. He was born and raised in Plainfield and was a long time Warren resident.
Mr. Cerillo graduated from Plainfield High School and then served in the United States Navy. Prior to his retirement in 2005, he was the Manager of Autoland in Springfield. He was a Communicant of Our Lady of the Mount Church in Warren.
Mr. Cerillo loved hunting and watching football, especially the New York Giants. He played semi pro football when he lived in Plainfield and was a boxer while serving in the Navy. He is survived by his beloved wife of 43 years, Carol Genard Cerillo; his children, Patrick Joseph Cerillo, Joseph F. Cerillo, Debra Walck, Kelly Capurso, Jill Winnicki, Gia Mia Wenzel and Dina Portik; his brothers, Patrick Cerillo, Louis Cerillo and Anthony Cerillo and his sisters, Teresa Cerillo and Patricia Vertullo. He is also survived by his 14 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were private and held under the direction of Higgins Home for Funerals, Watchung, NJ. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, 7 Ridgedale Ave., Ste. 103, Cedar Knolls, NJ 07927. To send condolences, please go to www.higginsfuneralhome.com

Thank you Joe for you friendship and guidance through the years. I'm sorry we were not closer latter in life but it seems it wasn't meant to be.I always think of the good times we had together and it brings a smile to my face.I'll see you soon my friend,just not today,and we will have another good laugh together. My sincere condolences to the Cerillo family .

My deepest sympathy's to the Cerillo family. I will always be grateful to Joe for all the knowledge he gave me when I first got into the car business at autoland and all the laughs we had. I often think aboout him and are crew and he will be sorely missed.
