MARSHALL L. CORSEY
AGE: 96 PLAINFIELD
Marshall L. Corsey, 96, died Friday, Oct. 15, 2010 in JFK Medical Center, Edison. Born in Woodbury, NJ, he lived in Plainfield for 65 years. He was employed for 27 years with Ford Motor Co. in Metuchen retiring in 1975. Marshall was a member of Bethel Presbyterian Church in Plainfield. His other memberships include, the founder of VFW #7474, where he was also a charter member and American Legion Johnson-Jeter Post #219 both in Plainfield and the Plainfield Senior Citizens. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II.
Surviving are his wife of 53 years, Hattie Corsey; 2 sisters, Cecelia Simms of Phila., Pa. and Betty Waters of Florida; 2 brothers, Wallace and Frederick Corsey of Woodbury; 2 sisters in law, Helen Corsey of Woodbury and Frankie Corsey of Illinois; 2 godchildren, George Platt of Florida and Vanessa Wilson of Plainfield; a special family friend, Esther Steward and nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Funeral, Wednesday, 7pm in Brown's Funeral Home, 122 Plainfield Ave., Plainfield preceded by viewing at 5pm. Burial, Thursday, 11am in Woodbury Memorial Park, Woodbury, NJ. Condolences may be expressed at brownsfuneralhome.net.
