VIRGINIA M. LENNON
AGE: 66 SEA GIRT
Virginia M. Lennon, 66, of Sea Girt, passed away Tuesday, November 23, 2010 at Kindred Hospital, Rahway, NJ. Mrs. Lennon was born in Jersey City and had resided in West Orange and then in Belmar for several years before moving to Sea Girt 35 years ago. Virginia was most recently employed as a Consumer Loan Officer at Sovereign Bank, Asbury Park for the past 10 years and prior to this she had worked in the Purchasing Department at Brookdale Community College, Lincroft for 10 years. She was also a Communicant of St. Catharine and St. Margaret's Parish, Spring Lake.
Predeceased by her parents John and Jeanette Kelly Goeckel, and her brother Robert Goeckel, she is survived by her beloved husband of 44 years Enda Lennon, her 3 sons Jimmy and Ted of Sea Girt and Brian and wife Reeta of Brick, her 2 granddaughters Annie and Fiona Lennon, her sister Kathy Manning of Spring Lake Heights, and her brother Jack Goeckel of San Francisco, California.
Relatives and friends are invited to call on Sunday from 12:00pm to 4:00pm at the O'Brien Funeral Home, 2028 Hwy. 35 at New Bedford Rd., Wall followed by a Mass of Christian Burial on Monday, November 29, 2010 at 11:00am at St. Catharine's Church, 215 Essex Ave., Spring Lake. Dear Enda, Jim, Ted & Brian,
We were very saddened to hear of Ginny's passing. Seems like we just saw her when we were in NJ in September. I once heard someone say that it's not death that brings us the greatest loss in life, but all that dies inside of us. As life goes on, I hope that you will find ways to celebrate the memory of your devoted wife and mother.I know she would want you all to live every day to the fullest and continue the celebration of her love for life.
