AGE: 81 • Brick

Charles Pyatt, 81, of Brick, passed away Sunday, Oct. 9, 2011 at his granddaughter's home in Brick. Born in Elizabeth, he lived in Union before moving to Brick 14 years ago. Charles was a machinist for many years at Heyco Co., Kenilworth before retiring in 1994. He was a member of the Brick Elks Lodge #2151 and served in the National Guard from 1948 to 1949.

Predeceased by his wife, Ruth Pyatt, in 2002; and his son-in-law, Carl Bagley, in 2003. Survived by his daughter, Catherine Bagley of Brick and her boyfriend, Ray Petersen of Lakehurst; son, James and his wife Dorothy of Cooper City, Fla.; five grandchildren, Stephen Bagley and his wife Danielle, Stacey Bagley, Shannon Bagley and her husband Larry Maloney, Amanda Pyatt, and Brittany Pyatt; and seven great-grandchildren, Nicholas, Dominick, Amberlyn, Leann, Trinitie, Skylar and Irelyn.

Viewing from 3:30 to 5:30 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 12 and 9 to 10 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 13 at DeGraff Lakehurst Funeral Home, 119 Union Ave., Lakehurst. Burial will follow at Hollywood Memorial Park in Union. In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory can be made to Children's Specialized Hospital Foundation, 150 New Providence Rd., Mountainside, NJ 07092 or Calling All Cats Rescue, 155 Ocean Gate Dr., Bayville, NJ 08721.
