John Marchitto Obituary
AGE: 60 • Fords
John A. Marchitto, 60, of Fords, entered into eternal rest Saturday, Oct. 15, 2011 at Raritan Bay Medical Center, Perth Amboy. He was born in New Brunswick and lived in Perth Amboy and Fords most of his life. He enjoyed horse racing and drag racing. He was a communicant of Our Lady of Peace Church in Fords. He was currently employed as a Superintendent at Raritan Bay Mental Health Center in Perth Amboy for the past 32 years. He was also employed as a Bounty Hunter.
John is predeceased by his parents John and Margaret Marchitto. He is survived by his two daughters, Carey and Kristin Marchitto of Fords; a granddaughter, McKenna; a brother, Frank "Major" Menna and his step-mother Elizabeth Menna.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, October 20, 2011 at 10 AM from Flynn and Son Funeral Home, 23 Ford Ave., Fords, followed by a 10:30 AM Mass at Our Lady of Peace RC Church, Fords. Burial will be in Alpine Cemetery, Perth Amboy. Visitation will be held on Wednesday from 2-4 & 7-9 PM. I was so sadden today when I heard of John’s passing. I worked with him (and his dad) at Raritan Bay Mental Health Center for 25 years. Some of these years were hard, many happy moments though. I remember John as oneof the few people that was always “real”. Peace to you John. Peace to all your family in this tough time.

So Sorry for your loss...he was such a nice person. He was so lucky to have so many wonderful family and friends that supported him.God Bless him and the family.I hope everyone can find peace.Glad I was able to help care for him.

Although I only met John once, to the best of my recollection, it's still sad to hear of the passing of a family member. John's late mother Margaret, and my mother were sisters. My condolences to John's immediate family...
