Frank Joseph Famulare, 76, of Manlius, passed away Saturday, Jan. 25, 2014, in Syracuse, NY. Born in Stamford, NY on March 15, 1937, he graduated in 1955 from Cooperstown Central School and attended Columbia University. He was the owner and principal of Tompkins Fabrics Inc. in Syracuse until 1995. He was a member of St. Ann's Church in Manlius. An avid outdoorsman, Frank liked nothing more than to stroll the woods hunting deer and ducks. He especially enjoyed his grandchildren tagging along during his expeditions with loads of fun and laughter. Fishing in the Atlantic for fluke was also high on the list. He was a founding member of the Oriole Road Social Club and the Beach Haven NJ Yacht Club. He was the unofficial mayor of Dune Lane. Frank loved the fun times, always positive and upbeat, he truly loved his family and life.

He was predeceased by his daughter, Elizabeth Todorov and his father, Frank Famulare Sr. Frank is survived by his wife of 53 years, Mary Lou Rees Famulare; daughter, Catherine diGrazia and husband Jim of Groton, MA; sons, Michael and wife Courteney of Steamboat Springs, CO and Frank Joseph III of Austin TX; son-in-law, Shawn Todorov of Sterling, MA; mother, Dorothy Butts Famulare of Fly Creek, NY; sister, Mary Winnie of Cooperstown; brother, John of Florida; grandchildren, Michael diGrazia, Karlii diGrazia, Emily Elizabeth Todorov and Alison Rees Famulare; 10 nieces and nephews, 18 cousins and 20 aunts and uncles.

A Mass will be offered at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 29 at St. Ann's Church, 104 Academy St., Manlius. Family and friends may call from 3 to 6 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 28 at Newell-Fay Manlius Chapel, 8171 Cazenovia Rd. (Rt. 92), Manlius. Burial will be private.
