Imogene M. Rigdon

Imogene M. Rigdon, 96, of White Hall, died Wednesday, Oct. 20, 2010, at White Hall Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.

She was born Aug. 11, 1914, at Roodhouse, the daughter of Lee and Eva Jane Pinkerton Sitton. She married Floyd E. Cook in 1931, and he preceded her in death in 1951. She later married the Rev. Charles Rigdon in 1970, and he preceded her in death in 1972.

Surviving are a daughter and son, Barbara Drake of White Hall, and Larry Cook of Milan, Mo.; four grandchildren, Bobbi Pratt, Jeff Staats, Larry Dean Cook Jr. and Jeanna Marie Dinan; 12 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Darlene Bell of Manchester and Virginia Blackburn of Winchester. She was preceded in death by brothers, Bill, Francis, Clarence, Gilbert and Donald Sitton; and a sister in infancy, Dorothy Sitton.

Mrs. Rigdon had worked at Backs Department Store and City Drugs in White Hall and also at the White Hall Hospital. She was a member of the White Hall Pentecostal Church.

Family graveside services were held at 11 a.m. Friday, Oct. 22, 2010, at Hickory Grove Cemetery near Wrights. Airsman-Hires Funeral Home in White Hall was in charge of arrangements. Condolences may be left online at www.airsman-hires.com.
