Ivalee Bridgeforth Obituary

Ivalee Gertrude Johnson Bridgeforth, 65, of Carrollton, died unexpectedly on Wednesday, June 17, 2009, at Boyd Memorial Hospital in Carrollton.

Born in Bloomington May 29, 1944, she was the daughter of the late John H. and Edna Mae Carter Johnson. She married Homer Bridgeforth on Dec. 3, 1974, in Pontiac, and he survives.

Also surviving are five daughters, Delores Bridgeforth of Champaign, Robin Giberson of Jerseyville, Debra Crain of Jerseyville, Ellen Golden of Melvin and Tina Bridgeforth of Hoopeston; two sons, Larry (wife, Robin) Bridgeforth of San Diego and Ron (wife, Wanda) Moore of Rantoul; 21 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; a special friend, Kim Tequila (and her four children) of Phoenix; brothers and sisters, Juell Smith of Marana, Ariz., Donna (husband, Ron) Traphagan of Apache Junction, Ariz., Guy Ford of Equality, John (wife, Christine) Johnson of Puxico, Mo., and Dale Johnson of Colfax. She was preceded in death by her parents.

Visitation will be from 4-7 p.m. on Monday at Believers Baptist Church on Woody Road near Carrollton. Services will be at the church at 7 p.m. that evening. Private committal rites will be held. Memorials may be made to Believers Baptist Church Missionary Fund. Condolences may be left online at www.airsman-hires.com. Airsman-Hires Funeral Home in Carrollton is in charge of arrangements.
