Frank Costello Obituary
He was born Nov. 1, 1932, in Patterson, the son of Louis and Flossie Camerer Costello. He married Donna Joan Hodapp on Aug. 13, 1955, at the St. Michael Church in Greenfield, and she preceded him in death July 13, 2000.
Surviving are his six sons and their families, Craig (JoAnne) of Auburn, and their sons Zach (Tiffany) and Chris; Roger of Alexander and his daughters Nicole, Samantha, Michelle and Maria; Jim of Houston and his son Jesse; Kent (Brenda) of Meredosia and their daughter Hannah; Steve of Jacksonville and Bruce of rural Roodhouse; one great-granddaughter, Kinley White; two sisters, Nina (Joe) Morelli of Lady Lake, Fla., and Rosemary (deceased husband, Carl) Ralston of Wood River; and one brother, Louis (Nancy) Costello of Greenfield. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife; three brothers, Francis, Charlie and Lloyd; and two sisters, Nita Fern Woods and Mamie Ralston.
Mr. Costello worked at Mobil Chemical for 36 years and was a member of the St. Michael Mens Club, Greene County Farm Bureau, served as a Greene County Rural Water Board member and as the Athensville Township supervisor. He also served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War.
Prayer service will be at 4 p.m. on Friday with visitation following until 8 p.m. at the Shields-Bishop Funeral Home in Greenfield. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Saturday at the St. Michael Church in Greenfield. Burial will follow at the Oak Wood Cemetery, north of Greenfield with full military burial rites conducted by Legion Fitzsimmons Post 225. Memorials are suggested to the St. Michael Church in Greenfield.

So sorry to hear of your loss. Frank was a class mate of mine and a true friend. I am his brother Lloyd's brotherinlaw so Frank has always been like family to me. He was a Great Man. Craig, Roger, Jim, Kent, Steve, and Bruce, I am so sorry to hear of your father's passing. I will always remember hm as a very kind and pleasant man. I always enjoyed meeting and talking to Frank when visiting Craig and my sister Jo on those occasions when we would see each over the holidays.
