Jimmie Cecil Obituary

Jimmie Cecil Jimmie Cecil, 61, of Edmonson passed away Thursday, July 10, 2008, in Edmonson, Texas. Memorial services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, July 14, 2008, at Kornerstone Funeral Directors Chapel of Plainview. Services are under the direction of Kornerstone Funeral Directors. Mr. Cecil was born May 28, 1947, in Plainview, Texas, to Calvin Curtis and Syble Gertrude Cecil. He lived in this community for more than 40 years and had been farming in the area also. He married Dorothy Walling in Hale County on Jan. 19, 1984. He was a member of First Baptist Church in Edmonson. Survivors include his wife, Dorothy Cecil of Edmonson; one daughter, Tamron Thompson of Longview; two sons, Kamron Cecil of Dianna and Rowdy Boggs of Amarillo; two brothers, Landria Cecil of Mt. Pleasant and Doug Cecil of Friona; and three grandchildren, Alyssa Templain Thompson of Longview, Justin Templain of Beaumont and Logan Boggs of Amarillo. He was preceded in death by his parents, Calvin Curtis and Syble Pool Cecil. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Area Community Hospice, 3109 Olton Rd. Ste. C, Plainview, TX 79072.
