Billye Russell Obituary

Billye Russell Funeral services for Billye Russell, 81, of Plainview will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Bartley Memorial Chapel with the Rev. Jim Ritter officiating. Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Bartley Funeral Home. Mrs. Russell died Friday, April 22, 2011, in Plainview. She was born April 12, 1930, in Canyon to Robert and Lois Gill. She married Dale Russell on Aug. 7, 1948, in Canyon. He died July 27, 2010. She was a carrier and a clerk for the U.S. Postal Service in Canyon, Plainview and Ingram. Survivors include two sons and daughters-in-law, Scott and Lillian Russell of San Angelo and Kelly and Norita Russell of Tow; one daughter and son-in-law, Connie and Ruben Gutierrez of Plainview; one brother and sister-in-law, John and Wilma Gill of Silverton; one sister, Mildred DuRapau of Houston; three grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; five step-grandchildren; and 12 step-great-grandchildren. Her husband; parents; two brothers; and four sisters are deceased. Memorial contributions may be made to Area Community Hospice, 3109 Olton Road, Plainview, TX 79072. My thoughts and prayers are with you Connie and your family. I enjoyed talking and laughing with her and loved her emails. She was a really sweet lady and I will miss her.
