Margaret Horne Obituary

Margaret Anne 'Peggy' Horne Margaret Anne "Peggy" Horne of Plainview passed away peacefully on her 82nd birthday, Oct. 14, 2013, surrounded by loved ones. A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Friday, Oct. 18, at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church, 211 W. Seventh St., in Plainview. Burial will follow in Plainview Memorial Park under the direction of Bartley Funeral Home. Peggy was born on Oct. 14, 1931, to John W. and Marie Antoinette "Toni" Steckler Scott in Lubbock. In addition to being a full-time homemaker and mother to eight children, Peggy was a tireless contributor to many volunteer organizations in the community. She left a positive impression on every person she ever met. While the world will miss the glow of her shining personality, the family and innumerable friends she leaves behind cherish the everlasting warmth she created in every heart she touched. Her constant and selfless devotion to family, friends, and those in need will forever serve as a perfect example of the faith she held so dear.
