Walter Ruback Obituary

Walter Harry Ruback, 86, of Calabash, died Friday, February 12, 2010 in the Sea Coast Medical Center.
He was born on March 3, 1923 in Amsterdam, NY. He was a son of the late Harry and Gretchen Machold Ruback. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his wife, Susan Ruback; son, Michael Ruback; and a daughter; Pam Bowden.
He was a member of the Shallotte Masonic Lodge #727 AF&AM and also a member of the Scottish Rite Bodies, & the Shallotte Lions Club. He was also a U.S. Army veteran.
Surviving are his son, Daniel Ruback & wife, Jane, of Tillson, NY, and four grandchildren.
A memorial service will be conducted at 11:00 am on Thursday, February 18th in the Calabash Presbyterian Church, where he was a founding member, by the Rev. Jack Patrick. Inurnment will be private in the N. Myrtle Beach Memorial Gardens.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be directed to the Calabash Presbyterian Church, 8820 Old Georgetown Road, Sunset Beach, NC 28468.
